Art Supplies and My Creative Flow

When you're in your studio or craft room creating, and you're in your own little creative zone, how do you feel when someone walks in and disturbs you? This pretty much sums it up for me:

I just can't stand it when someone interrupts my creative flow. I literally have to stop what I'm doing and wait until the interruption is over before I can move on.

And how do you respond when your husband or significant other or friend confronts you about how much money you spend on art supplies? 

I'll just add that my husband honestly doesn't do this to me. He really doesn't care how much I spend on art supplies, just like I don't really care how much he spends on tools. Neither of us goes crazy about things like that. I just thought this would be a funny art meme to share with you today. We all need a little chuckle now and again.

I Don't Mean to Brag But

I thought I'd start the new year with an art meme so that all of us artsy folks can start the new year with a giggle. If you're like me, you buy art supplies as easily as you buy toilet paper. I mean, you gotta have it! After all, there's really no such thing as too many art supplies. Am I right? 

Considering that I have a $100 gift card to Hobby Lobby (a gift from Santa), I'd say this is quite the accomplishment...even if we are only on the second day of the new year. I know all you artists and crafters can definitely relate.

Hey Girl Art and New Year

I've not been able to get into my studio much since school started in August--twice, to be exact. I'm hoping to get in there this weekend and get a full day of creativity in, before I return to teaching next week (fingers crossed). In the meantime though I felt like creating a couple of Hey, Girl memes, since it's been awhile. :)

What can I say? I really never get tired of Hey, Girl art memes...or Ryan Gosling for that matter. If that makes me wrong then I don't wanna be right.

Repurposing for the Studio

If you're like me, you do a lot of repurposing for your studio, especially when it comes to water containers. I have never bought anything to put water in for my studio. I always repurpose some plastic container that I get. As I found one today that is the perfect size for water and brushes, I decided to make a quick Art Meme about it.

If you follow Art Chick Studio on Facebook, then you know I'm rather a fan of the "Hey, Girl" Ryan Gosling memes. I make some of my own from time to time, and I share others I find on FB too. I'm not sure how those Hey, Girl memes ever got started, but some of them are so hilarious. It didn't take me long to become addicted to them. So, to help fuel my addiction, I decided I'd start sharing some of those memes here on the blog. :) Here are a couple that I've made myself.
