Absence Altered Hangtag

The second of two altered hangtags I made in the studio yesterday. This one is called, Absence….as in, makes the heart grow fonder. :)

Absence Altered Hangtag

I started with a 7 Gypsies hangtag. Then I added a vintage photo, in transparency form, to the hangtag.  I really love working with transparencies, as they really let you keep details that you wouldn’t normally get to see behind a photo. Next I added a little white butterfly sticker to the bottom right of the transparency image. Then I added a flower embellishment and the “absence” 3-D element. I finished it off with some lace and brown ribbon at the bottom of the tag, and the same brown ribbon at the top of the tag. I really love the look of the lace on the hangtag too.

This turned out to be one of my favorite hangtag altered art creations!

Sweetness Altered Hangtag

I made 2 altered hangtags while in the studio yesterday and I just love how they turned out. This one is called, Sweetness. I’m also using this as a challenge entry at the Everybody Art Challenge blog’s Things with Wings challenge.

Sweetness Altered Hangtag

I started with a hangtag from 7 Gypsies, which I had never used before but I really love them. I added a vintage photo of some little girl angels, which I added to a piece of grungy fabric and then adhered to the tag.  I also added a torn paper element near the middle of the tag.  Then I added a butterfly sticker, a postage stamp sticker, a flower and brad, and the 3-D “sweetness” embellishment. Then I finished it off with some blue-green and brown ribbon (it doesn’t look quite blue-green in the photo though).

Sweet!
