Michael Jackson Ghosts Digital Art

I was in a Michael Jackson mood this evening, so I created some new Michael Jackson Art. This time it’s from the History era, from his short file, Ghosts.

Michael Jackson Ghosts Digital ArtI love that short film. You can watch it on YouTube if you’ve never seen it. I sure wish they’d put that out on DVD one of these days. So much work and creativity went into its making. It was co-written by Stephen King, and it holds the Guinness World Record as the longest music video, with a full running time of 39 minutes and 31 seconds (although the version that ran in regular rotation was a pared down version of a little over 4 minutes. You really have to see the short film in its entirety to appreciate it! If you have never seen it, check it out sometimes. :)

Billie Jean Blue Magic

I created another piece of Michael Jackson Art for My Digital Sketchbook. It’s an ode to the magic of Billie Jean.

Billie Jean Blue Magic Digital Art

This piece features Michael performing Billie Jean during the Thriller era, with his trademark fedora, sequin jacket, and white glove. I still remember seeing him perform this on the Motown special so many years ago…when he moonwalked on TV for the very first time. It really was magic. And I remember the first time I saw his Billie Jean short film too. Always the showman. Always the music legend.

MJ Stars Digital Collage

I was having so much fun creating my starry night-themed angel tag yesterday for the Gingersnap Creations challenge that I decided to do another one. This time I used MJ as my subject though.

MJ Stars Digital Collage

This is kind of a combination of My Digital Sketchbook technique that I like to use, along with the image layering I use in Digital Collages. So now I have a brand new addition to my growing collection of Michael Jackson Art. And if fits in with the starry night theme too. :)

MJ Poses Digital Sketches

These are some other Michael Jackson Art digital sketches I did over the weekend. Instead of focusing on his face in these, I focused on some classic MJ poses that all just scream Michael Jackson!

I tried to pick poses from different eras of MJ’s career. Smooth Criminal, Jam, and especially Blood on the Dance Floor–these are all some of my favorite short films of Michael’s. So it was fun working with not only the iconic images, but also favorite videos and moments from Michael’s life.

The Faces of MJ Digital Sketches

I wasn’t able to get into my studio this past weekend, so I spent some time doing some more Michael Jackson Art to add to My Digital Sketchbook. These pieces all feature close-ups of MJ’s face. And once again, all of these were created digitally with PhotoScape.

MJ Spotlight Digital Sketch

I was able to do a couple of projects in my studio today. But I was doing digital work last night, which is when I created this, my MJ Spotlight Digital Sketch, to add to My Digital Sketchbook.

I have a collection of photos that show Michael Jackson in front of concert crowds. I’m quite fascinated with them, due to the sheer size of the crowds that are in them. It is no exaggeration to say that, in some cases, it would appear as if entire countries were in attendance at MJ’s concerts. It just amazes me when I see the depths of their devotion…because the people farthest away sure weren’t seeing much that was happening on stage.

But in any case, I love those types of photos and I like working with them for my digital sketches. I’ll be posting an Altered Tag and a craft jar later tonight or tomorrow. Was so nice to get my studio cleaned up on such a nice day! And then to have time left to create things? Even better.

MJ Singing Magic Digital Sketch

I was in the mood to add to My Digital Sketchbook last night so I created this new piece of Michael Jackson Art to add to it. I’m calling this MJ Singing Magic. He’s kind of standing over a stage fan, with smoke and haze blowing all around him…always the kind of photo I enjoy of him performing.

It always did look sort of magical to see MJ surrounded by all the wind and smoke. So it was fun to work with this photo. I did a lot of filtering to this photo, converting to black and white and then adding other colors and the final artsy effect. I love how it turned out.

MJ Blood on the Dance Floor Sketch

I spent some time on the computer tonight doing some more creative things for My Digital Sketchbook. The short film (music video), Blood on the Dance Floor, is the subject of this piece of Michael Jackson Art. It is one of my all time favorite MJ videos.

I almost want to put this on canvas, I just like it so much! I lose all track of time when I’m doing this digital stuff…not much different than when I’m painting or doing anything else creative. But my how the time does fly!

MJ Remember the Time Digital Sketch

Time to add another page to my digital sketchbook. Michael Jackson has become a favorite subject for my digital playground. It’s rather difficult for me to exclude him from my creative efforts when it’s so much fun! So this is my latest digital sketch, Remember the Time.

MJ Come Together Digital Sketch

I’m hoping to get into my studio tomorrow, but in the meantime I’ve been doing some digital sketches again for my digital sketchbook. I had created an edited version of a Michael Jackson photo that I love, from his Come Together video. Then I decided to take that a couple of steps further and add this creation to my digital sketchbook.

MJ Come Together Sketch

Michael Jackson inspires lots of creativity in me…sometimes he is a muse for an oil painting. Sometimes he inspires poetry. And sometimes it’s digital image creations. And somehow, I think he would love that this kind of inspiration is part of his legacy.
