Michael Jackson Ghosts Digital Art

I was in a Michael Jackson mood this evening, so I created some new Michael Jackson Art. This time it’s from the History era, from his short file, Ghosts.

Michael Jackson Ghosts Digital ArtI love that short film. You can watch it on YouTube if you’ve never seen it. I sure wish they’d put that out on DVD one of these days. So much work and creativity went into its making. It was co-written by Stephen King, and it holds the Guinness World Record as the longest music video, with a full running time of 39 minutes and 31 seconds (although the version that ran in regular rotation was a pared down version of a little over 4 minutes. You really have to see the short film in its entirety to appreciate it! If you have never seen it, check it out sometimes. :)

Billie Jean Blue Magic

I created another piece of Michael Jackson Art for My Digital Sketchbook. It’s an ode to the magic of Billie Jean.

Billie Jean Blue Magic Digital Art

This piece features Michael performing Billie Jean during the Thriller era, with his trademark fedora, sequin jacket, and white glove. I still remember seeing him perform this on the Motown special so many years ago…when he moonwalked on TV for the very first time. It really was magic. And I remember the first time I saw his Billie Jean short film too. Always the showman. Always the music legend.

MJ Stars Digital Collage

I was having so much fun creating my starry night-themed angel tag yesterday for the Gingersnap Creations challenge that I decided to do another one. This time I used MJ as my subject though.

MJ Stars Digital Collage

This is kind of a combination of My Digital Sketchbook technique that I like to use, along with the image layering I use in Digital Collages. So now I have a brand new addition to my growing collection of Michael Jackson Art. And if fits in with the starry night theme too. :)

Elvis Jumpsuit Sketch

I wanted to add Elvis to My Digital Sketchbook and since the anniversary of his death was last week, I was thinking about him anyway. So I created this digital art in honor of the one and only King of Rock and Roll!

Elvis Digital Sketch

It’s a classic 70′s Elvis, in a beautiful blue jumpsuit. This is the kind of image that comes to mind whenever I think of the 70′s era Elvis. The King may be gone, but his music and memory live on!

Lighthouse Digital Sketch

It’s been awhile since I’ve created any images for My Digital Sketchbook, so I decided to create a new one today. This time I used my photo of the Marblehead Lighthouse as inspiration.

Lighthouse Digital Sketch

I love using my own digital photos for my digital sketchbook image creations. I really like being able to digitally transform one image into something new. Be sure to click the image to view it full size or else you might miss the details! Now looking at this makes me want to go back to the lake!

Water Lily Digital Sketch

I took  a photo of a lagoon filled with lily pads on a recent trip to Bay City, Michigan, and there was only one water lily visible in the entire lagoon. So of course I had to photograph it. And then I also decided to have some fun with it so I can add it to My Digital Sketchbook.

It was such a pretty flower just floating there on that perfectly sunny day. It was just begging to be photographed…and I could resist but do some digital editing to get this result.

Fireworks Digital Sketches

Around the 4th of July I decided to make some fireworks digital sketches to add to My Digital Sketchbook. These kind of photos are really perfect for creating digital art, even though they are usually really awesome just the way they are. But since I’m all about the digital art lately, I had to have some fun.

I love how these turned out. Talk about Abstract Art gone wild! Really had fun making these.

Marilyn Up Close Digital Sketch

This is my second digital art creation of Marilyn Monroe that I’m adding to My Digital Sketchbook tonight. It’s also my favorite.

Marilyn Up Close Digital Sketch

I never get tired of Marilyn’s face…and her whole life story really. So beautiful, yet seemingly so lonely and unhappy. She really seemed like a tortured soul. I just wish the love that we all had for her could have saved her.

This digital work makes me want to finish the oil painting I started of Marilyn a few years ago. It’s sitting in my studio, waiting for me. Hopefully I can finish that later this summer when I have more time. I’d love to hang her in my office with my other celeb paintings. :)

Marilyn in Blue Digital Sketch

Time for another Hollywood icon to grace the pages of My Digital Sketchbook. This time, it’s the legend, Marilyn Monroe. I created two Marilyn digital art pieces this evening, and this is the first, Marilyn in Blue.

I love Marilyn. Such a beauty and so talented. Another one of those amazing people in Hollywood history who left us all too soon.

2 Birds and a Bunny

I was in the mood to create some more digital sketches for My Digital Sketchbook…which really look more like paintings, but I’m using my artistic license to call them what I want. ;)

So I’ve created 3 new digital sketches for today. One is a duck, and that one was a photo I took in Muskegon, Michigan. One is a seagull, which was a photo I took in South Haven, Michigan. And the third one is a bunny, which I took just yesterday when I was taking the grandkids out for a ride in their wagon.

It was fun creating this digital art. I love photography, but I also loving transforming my digital photos through digital art.
